Who can join?
The BAEA membership comprises mostly those Educational Audiologists working within education support services or schools for deaf children. However other members come from a wide range of backgrounds and interest in paediatric audiology or deaf children such as Teachers of deaf children and young people, hospital paediatric audiologists, speech therapists, those working in auditory/cochlear implant centres, and hearing aid manufacturers.

As a member, you will be able to join the email-based discussion forum which is used for asking/answering questions of Educational Audiologists and general discussion across the whole membership
The second privilege is to join a local group. There are currently four active groups in the UK. In August 2021 a new group covering Wales, Ireland (North and South) and Scotland was formed (WINSEAG): see contact details under Regions.
Membership fees
Fees are currently £30. Fees must be paid by standing order. Bank details can be obtained from the membership secretary (contact details below).
The BAEA/BATOD joint membership offer
As a special offer for Educational Audiologists it is now possible to join both BATOD and BAEA and benefit from their support, information and advice. The offer includes access to the online version of BATOD's specialist publications (magazine and journals) for the total sum of a BATOD membership.
£50 to join BATOD (online membership only access)
£30 to join BAEA (see below)
Evidence of an Educational Audiology qualification or evidence of training to become an Educational Audiologist and an application to both organisations for membership is required.
